Figuring out what photographer I am.

Have you ever had trouble deciding which style of photography you wanted to pursue? It can be a tricky question to answer and it’s often difficult to choose between all the different genres of photography. After a lot of deliberation, I eventually came up with a creative solution for my problem: I’m going to be all styles of photographer!

You may think that I’m joking but no, I really do plan on taking pictures in a variety of styles. My idea is that since I’m still relatively new at this craft, it would make sense for me to explore as many avenues as possible. The list goes on and on, from glamour shots to candid snaps and from landscape to wildlife ones! Plus, if my customers have specific requests that fall outside my current areas of expertise, it wouldn’t hurt to expand into them too.

So what type of photography styles am I going to start off with? Well, I think street photography would be fun – just like any good detective, sneaking around town trying to capture unique moments that not many people would notice or even appreciate until they’re immortalized in photographs. Plus, shooting with black and white film adds an extra layer of drama and atmosphere that never fails to impress! Then there are more classical types such as studio portraits where you can use all sorts of lights and backdrops to create stunning images. On top of this, macro photography could be fascinating too as it requires incredible attention to detail – from insect life to small objects and up-close portraits. And finally sports action photography – which is great for getting that one special shot that captures a fleeting moment in time for posterity.

All in all, the possibilities are practically endless when it comes to photography – so why limit me? Rather than picking just one genre, being an all-rounder seems much more interesting (not to mention challenging!). Sure, I could always specialise further down the line once I have developed my skills and gotten comfortable with each style but right now this approach just seems right. After all, exploration can lead us on unexpected paths which is how some artists create truly unique works – by allowing their minds to wander away from conventional wisdom or previously-held opinions!

So there you have it: My mission is clear! Time for me to go out into the world armed with my trusty camera(s) and document whatever catches my eye. Wish me luck everyone – let’s hope those pics turn out alright…
